On 26 and 27 September 2016, in Mavrovo, a two – day workshop was held on “Strengthening the capacity of the relevant stakeholder organizations to participate in the area of education policy.” During the event best practices were shared for the successful structures of established dialogue in policymaking between educational institutions and employers.
At the workshop the State Advisor of the Ministry of Education and Science, Mrs. Natasha Janevska, presented the current state-of-play of the Macedonian Qualifications Framework and its horizontal and vertical set-up in the comprehensive Education Strategy 2016-2020. The MQF was presented as a tool for communication with all stakeholders involved in the process of the qualifications system and in the reforms in education enabling individuals to acquire qualifications needed on the labor market or for personal development of learners in the process of lifelong learning.
In order for qualifications to pass through the entire process of quality assurance that make them more transparent, acknowledged and recognized at a national and international level, a series of reforms in the system of education and training has been undertaken. One of the most important reforms is the process of redesigning the curriculum based on learning results and assessment of the achievement of learning outcomes and the modular approach and practical work with employers in vocational education and training.
