Occupation

Is a set of work and tasks related to the content and type of  organizational and technological skills related and interconnected to professions that  can be performed by one person who possesses appropriate knowledge, skills and competencies.

The Standard  of occupation

A document that prescribes the content of the qualification at a certain level and determines the necessary knowledge, skills and competences that an individual has to have in order to be able to perform work and tasks within the occupation.

 

The Standard of qualification

Is a standardized description of the qualification itself. Also, it is a key part of the content and structure of a particular qualification. It includes all information needed to determine the level, the number of credits, as well as the sectors of qualification and data required to ensure the quality of the qualification standard.

The Standard of qualification shall comprise the following:

  • Title of the qualification
  • Type of qualification
  • Level or sub-level of the qualification
  • Code of the qualification
  • Credit value of the qualification
  • Description of the qualification
  • Contents of the qualification (entry requirements, number of mandatory and optional subjects, that is modules, method of verification and criteria for verification of learning outcomes.

The Template of Standard of qualification is consists of the following elements:

  • Title of the qualification
  • Code of the qualification
  • Type of qualification
  • Level or sub-level of the qualification
  • Sector of qualifications (For high education qualification the science field is determined according to Frascati classification)
  • Standard of occupations (except for general education and higher education qualifications)
  • Credit value of the qualification
  • Description of the qualification (with justification)
  • Key competences
  • Volume (number of credits and duration)
  • entry requirements/entry criteria
  • List of compulsory modules for qualification or subject
  • Total number of hours and credits
  • List of elective modules for qualification or subjects
  • Total number of hours and credits
  • Learning outcomes
  • Assessment and criteria for assessment of learning outcomes
  • Type of public document (diploma/certificate)
  • Institution issuing the public document (Primary school, secondary school, higher education institution, educational provider, adult education provider.)
  • Mobility/progression
  • Date of adoption of Qualification Standard
  • Date of revision
